B) Narrow tunnel with flickering light As Varius and Roche approach the crevice, the wide opening suddenly rattles — whirling is heard before the teeth of the metal gate appear at the top. Down comes the gate in swift fashion, locking the group to their decision. It lights the cavern with a faint purple glow that buzzes off the metal squares as if electrified. While the gate distracts the party from Bitterblue’s poor unconscious form, a sinister force is at work. It creeps towards her. Bitterblue is suddenly jolted awake by a sharp pain on the scruff of her neck with no evidence of a physical form left behind.* (As a result of this roll.) Dazed and confused, Bitterblue starts to feel… itchy. But the party moves on from the dramatics. While it is a tight squeeze for the giant of their group — and even the demonic Bael must bow to go through — they manage to slink four feet through the narrow gap until it opens into a low-lit room. In the center of the room is a circle of candles — twenty three of them, to be exact. Twenty one are currently aflame. Roche’s spidey senses tingle. She looks past the ritualistic candle display and the obvious two wooden doors with skeletal heads centered on them. Boring! Instead, she just barely spots a shiny glint in the western corner of the new room. It is covered in silken spider’s web and reads “TRAP DO DOOR NOT DANGER ENTER”. (As a result of this roll.)
